Our school is participating in the FCC Drive Away Hunger program again this year, which means we’ll be collecting donations of food and cash for people in our area who are hungry. Because we’re participating in this program, FCC will include our school in two draws for a $500 donation to be used to make improvements at the winning school.

There are three ways your child can participate. If you can, please send food items to school with your child from October 1st-15th to support this program. You also have the option to send a monetary donation with your child to school in a collection envelope that was sent home. The donations will be picked up on Wednesday, October 17th at 9:10. Donations aren’t the only way your child can participate. There’s also a fun and easy art project the students can participate in – drawing a Thank You message to a farmer on a card supplied by Farm Credit Canada. The cards will be collected and shared with Canadian agriculture producers at a future FCC event. When our school returns these cards to FCC, our local food bank is entered into a draw to win $1000. Please help Bothwell School make a difference in our community. All food and money donated will stay in our community. Post the list that was sent home on your fridge and let your friends and neighbors know you are collecting for the Drive Away Hunger campaign.
