In our continued effort to support families during these difficult times, the HSD Student Services Department has launched a HELP Line for parents/guardians. The Student Services HELP Line provides support for stress management, coping skills, and advice on how to talk with children about COVID-19. Our clinicians can also provide parents/guardians with guidance on how to support children during the suspension of classes. Contact the Student Services HELP line at 204-320-2314 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Clinicians will be available during regular school hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm) for HELP Line support requests.
Southern Health has opened a new support line: The Wellness Support Line is different from the Crisis Line Services. This is not a crisis line: it is referred to as a “warm” line.
The Wellness Support Line is a confidential phone number anyone can call to speak with a mental health clinician. The mental health clinicians are ready to listen, support, and refer you to local resources to help you during this difficult time (should it be required).
The Wellness Support Line is intended for community members, including health care and educational professionals, coping with the COVID-19 Pandemic in the Southern Health Region.
