Orange Shirt Day Sept. 27
Our school will be acknowledging the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Friday, September 27 and encourage all students and staff to wear an orange shirt to school on September 27! The history of the orange shirt began back in 1973, when Phyllis Webstad entered St. Joseph Mission Residential School and was told she could not wear the new orange shirt her grandmother gave her. Terry Fox Run – Change of date
Bothwell School will be holding the annual Terry Fox Run on Thursday, October 3 (not Friday) @ 2:45PM (rain date: Monday, Oct. 7th). All families/caregivers are invited to join us as participants or spectators. Students will take part in the run on the designated streets directly south of the school (with supervisors on the route). Picture Day Sept. 20 a.m.
Picture day is Friday, September 20th in the morning. There will be no retake day at the school, but if parents wish to have retakes taken or if your child was not in school on picture day, please contact Lifetouch in November at 1-204-272-3500 to set up an appointment in their Winnipeg studio for November or December Proofs will be sent home with every student within the 2 weeks following Picture Day.
