Kindergarten Phone-in Registration for the 2018-2019 school year is taking place the week of February 5-9. Parents, grand parents and older brothers and sisters come read with your family members on Tuesday, Feb. 6 from 11:15 – 12. We will all meet in the gym @ 11:15, get our books, get organized and start reading together.
The Steinbach Pistons are offering the FIRST 35 STUDENTS from BOTHWELL SCHOOL a free game admission ticket for their Feb. 9, 2018 game against the Neepawa Natives. A voucher will be sent home on January 31 with each Bothwell School student and the first 35 returned signed by a parent who will accompany them will receive a free student ticket. The 2nd Annual Bothwell Book Swap will take place the week of February 5-9. If your child would like to take part, all s/he needs to do is bring one or more books they are willing to swap, any time before February 1st. For every book they bring in, they will have an opportunity to take a new-to-them book home.
We will once again be having the Canadian Red Cross Babysitting Course available to our students who are 11 years old or older. The cost is $46.50. Certified instructor, Deidre Perron, will run the course 9:00—3:30 on Friday, February 23 in our school. Forms will be sent home February 1 and are due back by Feb. 13. Space is limited so the first 22 students to return their forms with payment will be registered.
The PAC together with students and staff invite you to participate in collecting items for Christmas hampers for families in our school community. We are collecting items Monday, Dec. 11 – Thursday, Dec. 21. The final total is in for the book fair. Our goal was $2000 and we had $3067.15 in sales! WOW! Way to go students, parents and staff! That means we get about half of that in new books for our library! Thank-you for all the support! See you next year at the book fair!
