The Parent Advisory Council has a tradition of putting together Christmas hampers for families in our school community. We are excited to be able to do this again this year! Christmas is a time of giving and sharing and we would like to demonstrate love and kindness to families who are part of our school community.
The PAC along with the students and staff invite you to participate in our special Christmas hamper project. The Bothwell Christian Fellowship Church has kindly donated toys for the hamper collection. So this year we will not be asking for any toys to be donated. We will be collecting food/ items and cash donations from December 12-16. Your generosity and participation in this worthwhile project is greatly appreciated. The front page calendar has suggestions of what to bring each day but feel free to send anything on any day.
Here is a list of needed items:
|canned meat & fish||jam||beans||baking supplies|
|peanut butter||canned fruit & veggies||cereal||personal hygiene products|
|canned & dry soup||pasta||oatmeal||spaghetti sauce|
|rice||fruit juices||household cleaning supplies|
Cash and cheque donations toward hampers will be accepted at the school during this week. Cheques can be made out to Bothwell PAC. This money is used to purchase gifts for the children of families receiving the hampers and all the fresh food. We are usually able to purchase a large ham, milk, cheese, and more! Families nominated to receive a hamper will be contacted in December and hampers will be delivered on Dec 21, after school. Please contact the school office at your earliest convenience if you or someone you know as members of our school are in need of a little extra love and kindness this Christmas. Also, if your family is in need of support or you are aware of families in need, please visit www.nivervillehelpinghands.org.
